This is my second project with this stunning fabric from Dunelm Mill. It’s upholstery weight fabric and comes in at £8.99 per metre (140cm wide). I wanted to make a cushion that was obviously for Jessica so I decided to attach ribbons to the sides of it. It’s just a bit of fun really. David was a little concerned that I had more than thirty different ribbons in my collection to choose from though! I only used 29 of them in this project. I have used three poppers on the back as usual as you can see in the final image.

Early Happy Birthday Archie
Archie will be 4 on Wednesday but unfortunately we’re not in Wales to help him celebrate. So, I decided to make him an early birthday cake while we were there last week. He’s a big fan of Fireman Sam and loves going past the fire station in Chirk so he just had to have a fire engine cake. I confess that I bought a madeira cake and a pack of fondant icing because I only had the time while Jess napped to make it but I did dye the icing (but I didn’t have any black for the tyres) and I stuffed the cake full of jelly tots for an extra special surprise. The pirate candles are just because we liked them so much! Hope you have a fabulous day on Wednesday, little man.
